PSG Arts Alumni Association, of PSG College of Arts & Science, inaugurated “Curry Masala 2026”, a two-day entrepreneurial stall exhibition, on 20th August 2026 at the PSGCAS campus.
The event, being held on 20th and 21st August 2026, provides a vibrant platform for budding entrepreneurs to showcase, market and validate their products through direct interaction with customers.
The exhibition features 25 commercial stalls, 7 food stalls and 2 two-wheeler display stalls, bringing together a diverse range of products, food ventures, entrepreneurial initiatives and businesses. The initiative provides participants with practical exposure to product positioning, pricing, customer engagement, sales, marketing and business operations.
As a significant entrepreneurship development initiative, the PSGCAS Business Incubator facilitated Udyam Registration for all 25 participating commercial stalls, while the 07 food stalls were supported with FSSAI Registration. This initiative aims to introduce aspiring entrepreneurs to essential business formalities and regulatory compliance, while encouraging them to progress from campus-level entrepreneurial activities towards sustainable business ventures.
The programme reflects PSGCAS’s emphasis on promoting a “Stalls to Startups” culture in Higher Education Institutions, where stall-based entrepreneurial experiences are utilized as practical learning opportunities to nurture students and aspiring entrepreneurs towards formal enterprise and startup creation.
Curry Masala Stalls 2026 was inaugurated by Preetha S. Priyadarsini Naidu, Secretary, PSG Arts Alumni Association, andS.Chandrasekhar,Joint Secretary, PSG Arts Alumni Association, in the presence of Dr. T. Kannan, Secretary, PSG College of Arts & Science, and Dr. M. Jayanthi, Principal, PSG College of Arts & Science.
The inauguration was also graced by the Office Bearers and Executive Committee Members of the PSG Arts Alumni Association, Vice Principals, Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members, Incubation–EDC staff members and students of PSGCAS.
Beyond creating a lively campus experience, Curry Masala 2026 is designed as an experiential entrepreneurship platform where participants can understand real-time market response, interact with customers and develop confidence in operating a business. The initiative demonstrates the collaborative efforts of the PSG Arts Alumni Association and CII&E – PSGCAS Business Incubator in strengthening entrepreneurship, enterprise development and startup culture within the institution.
The two-day programme continues on 21st August 2026, offering students, faculty members and the PSGCAS community an opportunity to explore and support the participating entrepreneurial ventures.
