Royal Care opens drug and poison information centre

Coimbatore : A multi-super speciality hospital in the city today launched a drug and poison information Centre, one of its kind facility in the region.

The ” Royal Care Drug & Poison Information Centre ” would not only cater to providing treatment to all poison related cases but will also be a nodal centre for information and assistance to medical and non-medical people about various ailments and issues related to toxicology, chairman of Royal Care Super Speciality hospital, Dr K Madeshwaran said.

Coimbatore Medical College Dean Dr Ashokan inaugurated the Centre. Such a centre was a need of the hour and will be a big step forward in treating poison cases, Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine Amrita University Dr V V Pillay said.

The services of the centre would be available 24 hour and could be availed by contacting an all-India toll-free number 1800 12 00 34 or 0422 222 7 333 which would be answered round the clock
