Rural fest held in Coimbatore

Young Indians(Yi) organised a rural premier league to ignite the aspirations of rural citizens and bring about a change in attitude towards the marginalised by collaborating with local communities, industry and enterprise.
A volleyball tournament along with cultural evening was organised in Coimbatore for tribespeople from Thengumarda on November 5 and 6. More than 100 participated representing 22 teams. Various tribes from Nilgitals, Erode and Coimbatore districts like Irular, Kurumba, Paniya, Kota and Toda formed teams for the competition. Anikaty Youth Club and Sudapatty Dr Narashima Youth Club made it to the finals, Anaikaty Youth Club received the trophy, according to a statement.
The cultural festival had Irula music and group dance.
