Former AIADMK Minister K.P. Munusamy on Saturday blamed V.K. Sasikala and her relatives for the IT raids conducted at former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s Poes Garden residence in Chennai.

Talking to reporters at Periyanaickenpalayam, Munusamy said Sasikala, T.T.V. Dinakaran, Venkatesh and Vivek stayed in Veda Nilayam after Jayalalithaa’s death. “Friday’s search is the result of the raids conducted in their houses.

It is wrong to say that the Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy and his deputy O. Panneerselvam were behind the raids. It only because of Sasikala and Dinakaran raids were conducted yesterday,” he said.

According to the former Minister, the raids have hurt more than 1.5 crore party workers across the State.

Meanwhile, talking to reporters here on Saturday, Samathuva Makkal Katchi President Sarathkumar said the raids have hurt the feelings of AIADMK workers.

“IT raids have become common now and it is being conducted everywhere,” he said.
