Slicerooms come to Coimbatore

Covai Post Network

Most of the time, when we visit a new city, we use accommodation facilities. Even if we use it for only a few hours, we are made to pay the cost for the entire day. However, all this is set to change, thanks to the newly introduced concept of slicerooms. Guests opting for such rooms will have to pay for only the duration that they use the services at that particular hotel.

A release from the creators of this concept says that customers staying at hotels will have to pay for only the exact hours they stay. That will save a lot of money for them.

Laxman R., Managing Director and CEO, of the sliceroom website says “Internationally, 2 pm is the check-in time for most of the hotels and 12 noon is the check out time. The two-hour gap goes into making the room ready for the next guest. But, the staff normally gets the room ready in as low as 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the size of the room. Similarly, around 10% of the guests of a hotel tend to check out early in the mornings. Given these situations, around 10% of the rooms in a hotel are vacant from 7 am or 8 am to 2 pm everyday. These rooms (SLICEROOMS) are our inventory, and we will utilize these rooms as sellable rooms for a hotel,” Laxman says.

Guests can book a room by following three simple steps. Once they log on to the official website, https://www.slicerooms.com/, they will first have to select their city of visit. The website also allows guests to choose a preferred location where they wish to book a hotel room. Depending on the location, the hotels that have tied up with slicerooms will be displayed, allowing guests to choose the one most suited for them. Upon selecting the date of visit, the number of accompanying adults and children, and the likely check in and out time, the reservations can be confirmed.

This facility is available in Coimbatore now. The website allows last minute bookings of the hotel rooms too. In order to cater to a wide spectrum of customers, slicerooms has tied up with all kinds of hotels, ranging from one-star to five-star.
