The Park Education Group organised “Spark 2026,” an orientation and Freshers’ Day programme for first-year engineering students at its campus in Karumathampatti, Coimbatore.
As many as 1,243 first-year students who have joined the three engineering colleges under the Park Education Group and the Tamil Nadu College of Architecture participated in the programme held at the Prema Ravi Auditorium.
The event commenced with a devotional song created using Artificial Intelligence (AI) by Park College of Engineering and Technology students Alan Joshua and Kevin Joe.
Chief Guest Erode Mahesh, Park Education Group Chairman Dr.P.V. Ravi, and Chief Executive Officer Dr.Anusha Ravi inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional lamp.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Anusha Ravi advised students to develop discipline, academic excellence and professional skills and strive to make their parents proud. She also encouraged students to make effective use of the emerging opportunities in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.
Park Education Group Chairman Dr.P.V. Ravi urged students to dream big, value education and take responsibility for shaping their future. He emphasised that creativity, innovation and continuous learning would play a crucial role in the era of Artificial Intelligence.
Chief Guest Erode Mahesh called upon students to develop self-confidence, discipline, problem-solving abilities, clarity of thought and communication skills. He advised them not to compare themselves with others, but instead identify and nurture their individual talents.
As part of the programme, students participated in an innovative activity of writing letters to their future selves. A poem written by first-year Information Technology student Sri Saranya was also presented before the audience.
In another special initiative, the top 10 students who joined the Park Education Group were presented with AI-generated photographs designed using Artificial Intelligence technology as mementos.
Principals and administrators from the various institutions of the Park Education Group participated in the programme and conveyed their greetings to the students. Dr.Kumaresan, Principal of Park College of Technology, proposed the vote of thanks.
