Speeding car kills three

Three persons were killed and two others injured when a speeding car moved down them today.

The victims were consuming liquor on the road side, when the car hit them at Mettukkatuvaluku, some 20 kms from Kangeyam in Tirupur district, police said. The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve and hit them.

The dead have been identified as Marimuthu, Nataraj and Karuppananadar, while injured Selvasigamani and Govindaraj, have been admitted to the Government Hospital in Erode.
