Stanes School ICSE/ISC celebrated its Annual Prize Day for the academic year 2026–27 with grandeur on Friday at the school’s Rajendran Sports Arena, recognising outstanding achievements in academics, sports and co-curricular activities.

The event brought together students, parents, teachers and distinguished guests in a celebration of excellence and holistic education.
Dr. Kezevino Aram, President of Shanti Ashram and Founder of the International Center for Child and Public Health, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. She was joined by Philip R.J.Fowler, Correspondent; Dr.James J. Gnanadoss, Honorary Treasurer; Dr. Sucheeta Ramachandra, Board Member; V. M.John, Chief Administrative Officer;P. A. John Stephen, Principal of Stanes Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Eileen Jethro, Principal of Stanes CBSE School; Zenette Jeyaprakash, Principal of Stanes ICSE School; and Georgina Simmons, Principal of Stanes International School.

Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Kezevino Aram spoke passionately about the invaluable role of children in shaping the nation’s future. Calling every child a blessing, she urged parents, teachers and society to invest in nurturing compassionate, responsible and confident individuals. Drawing from over three decades of experience as a paediatrician, she paid tribute to the unwavering dedication of parents, grandparents and educators, stating that the success of students is built upon their love, sacrifice and encouragement.

She highlighted India’s demographic advantage, noting that while many countries face declining birth rates, India has the opportunity to transform its young population into a powerful force for national development through quality education and holistic care.
Commending Stanes School’s enduring legacy since its establishment in 1862, Dr. Aram praised the institution for preserving its values while evolving with changing times.

She lauded the school’s expansive 25-acre campus, where four educational institutions serve over 3,000 families, and appreciated its commitment to nurturing excellence in both academics and sports. She also recalled the inspiring journey of the school’s founder, Sir Robert Stanes, whose vision continues to shape generations of students.

Earlier,Zenette Jeyaprakash welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest. She also presented the school’s Annual Report for the academic year 2025–26, showcasing remarkable achievements in academics, sports and extracurricular activities.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of prizes to academic toppers and outstanding achievers by the chief guest, recognising their exceptional performance during the academic year.The celebration concluded with a vibrant cultural showcase by students featuring performances titled “Try a Little Kindness – Little Voices,” “Football Fiesta,” “When Justice Prevails,” “Cartoon Carnival of Hamelin,” “Echoes of Sesame,” and the Finale Dance, earning thunderous applause from the audience.

The Annual Prize Day reflected Stanes School’s continued commitment to academic excellence, character building and the all-round development of its students, reaffirming its reputation as one of Coimbatore’s premier educational institutions.
