Students demand capital punishment to Pollachi sexual case accused

Coimbatore : A section of students in Bharathiar University Sunday demanded capital punishment for those accused involved in the sensational Pollachi sexual harassment case.

Holding placards “hang the accused. Book them under rape case,” the students raised slogans against the accused.

They also wanted the Government to act immediately and hang them, police said.

In the meantime, workers of Social Democratic Party (SDPI) formed human chain in the evening in Kuniyamuthur, demanding an NIA investigation into the entire episode.

They also raised slogans against the government and demanded that Superintendent of Police, R Pandiarajan be removed from the post.
