Coimbatore, April 28th – SUEZ successfully organized a Safety Week Campaign cantered on the critical theme “Fasten Seat Belt – Fasten Life.” The initiative was aimed at strengthening safety awareness and reinforcing the importance of seat belt usage across all project locations.

The campaign witnessed active participation from employees, site personnel and Drivers and plant equipment operators reflecting a shared commitment toward building a safer workplace.
As part of the campaign, a series of interactive awareness sessions were conducted, focusing on the life-saving importance of wearing seat belts. Practical demonstrations showcased how seat belts protect occupants during sudden stops, collisions, and rollovers.

The campaign commenced with impactful opening remarks by Dr. S Chandrasekar, Trustee – UYIR Trust for Road Safety and Member of the Coimbatore District Road Safety Committee.
He highlighted the critical importance of seat belt usage through real-life case discussions, clearly demonstrating the severe consequences of not wearing seat belts. His insights emphasized that many road fatalities and serious injuries could have been prevented with this simple safety measure.

The sessions emphasized that seat belt usage is not just compliance—it is a personal responsibility that protects lives.

SUEZ – 24×7 Water Supply Project, Coimbatore Project Director Sangram Pattanayak , addressed the team with a clear and impactful message, urging everyone to adopt seat belt usage as a non-negotiable safety habit. The leadership reiterated that no vehicle should move unless all occupants are properly secured.
This campaign goes beyond awareness—it aims to instil a lasting behavioural change. Employees were encouraged to practice and promote seat belt safety both within project premises and on public roads.
