SUEZ in India Launches Safety Week Awareness Campaign for Employees and Stakeholders

Coimbatore, March 5: Suez Projects Private Limited (SPPL), implementing the 24×7 Water Supply Project in the city of Coimbatore, launched its Health and Safety Awareness Campaign for its workforce on 4th March 2026.
The National Safety Flag was unfurled by Mr. Sangram Pattanayak, Project Director, SUEZ – 24×7 Water Supply Project, Coimbatore, marking the formal inauguration of the campaign. The week-long programme will conclude on 10th March 2026.

Addressing the gathering Coimbatore, SUEZ – 24×7 Water Supply Project Director Sangram Pattanayak, said, “At SUEZ, safety is not just a priority, but a core value embedded in everything we do. Through this Safety Week initiative, we aim to reinforce a strong safety culture across our workforce and partner ecosystem. Our commitment remains focused on ensuring a safe working environment while delivering reliable 24×7 water services to the citizens of Coimbatore.”

During Safety Week, various activities, including safety training programmes, emergency response workshops, and a fire drill in coordination with the District Fire and Rescue Department, will be conducted. Several other safety awareness programmes will also be organized to promote safe work practices among employees.

Sharing details of the campaign, Pankaj Kumar, Safety Manager, SUEZ, stated that the main objective of the initiative is to increase awareness among individuals, communities, and organizations about the importance of safety in their daily activities.

“Throughout Safety Week, we will conduct a series of events, workshops, and initiatives to engage and educate our workforce on the importance of safety in various aspects of life. Our goal is to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills required to respond effectively to emergencies, reduce accidents, and foster safer working and living environments for all,” he added.

The campaign reflects SPPL’s continued commitment to strengthening its safety culture and ensuring the well-being of its workforce while delivering essential water services to the city.
