Coimbatore |:Continuing its commitment to creating meaningful environmental impact through youth-led action, Support Wings successfully conducted its Yuva Goes Green initiative at Butterfly Lake, Vellalore, Coimbatore, on 6 September. The initiative focused on promoting biodiversity, strengthening the local ecosystem, and encouraging young people to take active responsibility towards environmental conservation.
As part of the initiative, Support Wings volunteers planted saplings around the lake to contribute towards a greener and healthier environment. Butterfly Lake serves as a habitat for different varieties of birds and insects, making the protection of its surrounding ecosystem important for local wildlife.
Through this initiative, volunteers took a step towards supporting the well-being of both the
community and wildlife, while spreading awareness about the importance of protecting
natural spaces. The activity also encouraged young people to understand how small actions
can contribute to long-term environmental sustainability.
Support Wings is a youth-driven organisation active across 84+ cities in India, empowering
