Young talents from Tamil Nadu delivered an impressive performance at the Junior Model International India Finals 2026 held in Kozhikode from May 7 to 9, bringing national recognition to the state and securing opportunities to represent India at the international finale in Thailand later this year.
Junior Model International is regarded as one of the prominent international children’s pageants, conducted annually across various countries to provide young participants with exposure in fashion, talent and personality development. The 2026 international finale is scheduled to take place in Thailand on August 19, 20 and 21.
Under the leadership of Tamil Nadu State Director M.Siva Kumar,auditions were conducted across several cities including Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Chennai, Kovilpatti and Madurai. Following multiple rounds of screening and selection, the shortlisted contestants advanced to the India Finals in Kozhikode.
The Tamil Nadu contingent stood out with several notable achievements at the national-level competition.
S.Rakshan secured the title of 1st Runner-Up – 2027 International Next Top Model India, while Divith A. emerged as 2nd Runner-Up and also won the special title Best in Suits.
Joanna V earned the recognition of SR TOD – 1st Runner-Up and received the title Little Mr United World – Turkey. Another participant, I. Adnan, won accolades including Junior Glam Universe India and JMI – Prince of Tamil Nadu.
The selected winners will now go on to officially represent India at the Junior Model International global finale in Thailand.
The international competition will feature various rounds including introduction and interview sessions, talent showcases, traditional wear presentations and ball gown or suit rounds, along with grooming and personality development programs. Participants are judged on confidence, communication skills, stage presence, talent and overall personality.
Speaking about the achievement, Tamil Nadu State Director M. Siva Kumar said the platform was designed to nurture confidence and individuality among children while offering them global exposure.
“We are proud that contestants from Tamil Nadu have earned recognition at the national level and are now preparing to represent India on the international stage,” he said. Junior Model International continues to emerge as a platform encouraging children to develop confidence, discipline, creativity and leadership through international-level competitions and training opportunities.
