‘Tamil’ Tarun Vijay, former MP and president of Students and Youth for Thiruvalluvar, visited Apollo Hospital today afternoon and enquired about the health of Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa from doctors. He was received by the deputy speaker of the Lok Sabha Thiru Thambi Durai.
Tarun Vijay gave a special prasadam from Kedarnath, Uttarakhand, and holy water from Lake Manasarovar, Tibet, for the chief minister to Thambi Durai. He was told by the doctors that Jayalalithaa has recovered and will be shifted to her private room in a day or two. It is hoped that she will also start attending office soon.
Tarun Vijay spent 40 minutes at the hospital. He was taken to the room where the chief minister is recuperating and was told by the doctors that to prevent the secondary infection, no one is being allowed to go in and meet her.
Tarun Vijay said that the people of Uttarakhand are especially thankful to her for her support to Thiruvalluvar Ganga Payanam, and the installation of the Tamil philosopher-poet’s statue at Haridwar, and hence special prayers were conducted for her health in Uttarakhand’s various temples. “We hope she will be in her best health soon and we would like to invite her to Uttarakhand for a thanksgiving puja at Kedarnath next year,” he said.
