Three months ration given to disabled

Four families in Thondamuthur were given three months ration by Oondrukal Trust on Monday. The heads of three of the families are physically challenged and one of them is HIV positive.
Oondrukal (Walking Stick)Trust, an association by the physically challenged, was started in 2015 to help the underprivileged, especially those who are physically challenged or affected by AIDS. J Karunakaran, founder of Oondrukal Trust, said, “Till now, we have helped many disabled children by giving notebooks and school uniforms. On festive occasions, we distribute clothes and gifts.”
He added, “We try to ease the suffering of the underprivileged and the disabled by providing basic necessities to get on with life and encourage them to learn new skills that can make them independent.”
