TiE launches road show to groom women entrepreneurs

TiE Global today launched an All India Road Show on Women’s Economic Empowerment through Entrepreneurship initiative to train women in entrepreneurship skills. The programme is funded by the US mission in India and the US Department of State.

Workshops will be conducted in Coimbatore, Warangal, Jaipur, Nagpur and Durgapur, out of which 125 aspiring women entrepreneurs will be selected and trained in sustainable business skills by a US-based mentor. Venktesh Shukla, chairman of TiE Global said, “The focus of TiE is on generating and nurturing our next generation of entrepreneurs and we are dedicated to the virtuous cycle of value creations and giving back to the community.”

Vijay Menon, executive director of TiE Global added that this was “a great initiative to formalise the inclusion of young women into entrepreneurship”.
