TNAU to host annual meet on sugarcane

More than 200 agricultural scientists from Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), SAUs, representatives from various sugar mills in the State and private firms will attend the two-day All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on Sugarcane Annual Group Meet at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.

The meeting, that begins here on Friday, will have technical sessions which will focus on last year’s findings and future research work on Sugarcane, said a press release.

Dr. R.K. Singh, ADG (Commercial Crops), ICAR, New Delhi will deliver the presidential address and Dr. K. Ramasamy, Vice-Chancellor, TNAU will deliver the inaugural address.
