TPDK demands apology from Kanchi Seer

COIMBATORE:  Members belonging to the  Thanthai Periyar Dravida Kazhagam on Wednesday staged a demonstration at Annur  condemning Junior Seer of Kanchi Mutt Vijayendra Saraswathi for sitting through while ‘Thamizh Thai Vazhthu’ was being played at a function in Chennai recently. They demanded an apology from the Seer for showing disrespect for the Tamil anthem.

The members also raised  slogans against Vijayendra Saraswathi and burnt his effigies. They demanded the Seer come in person to the Manonmaniam Sundaram Pillai Memorial before February 3 and apologise.
