TV with home theatre gifted to Coimbatore corporation orphanage

Coimbatore : Past and present consultants and students of the radiology department of Kovai Medical Center and Hospital (KMCH) donated a TV with home theatre to an orphanage-shelter for the homeless, run by the city municipal corporation.

The orphanage at R S Puram has a good number of inmates.

Corporation Commissioner K Vijay Karthikeyan inaugurated the new facility at a function yesterday, in the presence of corporation officials, staff members, doctors and students from KMCH.

He appreciated the noble gesture and lauded the radiology department members for their concern for the homeless.

The members used to visit the shelter during Diwali to distribute new clothes, ssweets and soaps.
