Despite a sluggish global economy, the TVS Motor Company has posted an impressive 12 percent growth in revenue, during the financial year 2015-16, with sales of 2.7 million units.

2.47 lakh units of motorcycles were sold in the fourth quarter of the Financial Year 2015-16, as against 2.21 units the previous year. Sale of scooters increased from 1.66 lakh units to 1.98 lakh units during the period. 83,000 was the number of two-wheelers that were exported.

In terms of revenue, the company saw 15 percent growth, from Rs.2,443 crores during the Financial Year ending March 2015 to Rs.2815 crores as on March 2016. Profit before tax (PBT) grew by 37 percent from Rs.101 crores to Rs.138 crores; and Profit after tax (PAT) increased by 30 percent from Rs.91 crores to Rs.118 crores.
