Two killed in bike-lorry collision near Thadagam

Coimbatore : Two farm labourers died today when their motorcycle rammed a brick-laden lorry and went under its wheels near Thadagam on the outskirts.
The lorry was coming to the city and the two-wheeler proceeding to Mangarai when the mishap occurred at Veerapandi junction, about 20 km from here, police said.

Under the impact of the collision, both Rajendran and Ganesan, aged 35, were thrown out of the vehicle and were run over, killing them on the spot, police added.
The bodies were sent for post mortem to Government Hospital here, while search was on for the lorry driver, who fled the scene after the accident.
