Video threatening petrol bunk staff with sickle in Tirupur goes viral

Coimbatore : A video showing two motorcycle borne persons threatening the petrol bunk cashier with a sickle in Peruanallur near Tirupur is going viral in the social media.

According to police, the men, covering their head and face with helmet filled the tank for Rs.600 on late night of Wednesday last.

The pillion rider removed a sickle from the back of the rider and brandished towards the cashier and fled the scene, without paying.

There was only two staff at the time of the incident, which was clearly visiible in the CCTV footage placed at the bunk, they said.

The petrol bunk owner and the staff have lodged a complaint and police are investigating, they said.
