“We will take steps to hand over Hindu temples to devotees,” said the leader of Tamil Maanila Congress party, Shri. G.K. Vasan. His statement was welcomed by Isha Foundation Founder Sadhguru.

The AIADMK-affiliated Tamil Maanila Congress released its election manifesto today (March 19). The statement said, “We will take steps to protect the Hindu temples in Tamil Nadu, hand them over to the devotees to administer them.”

Sadhguru congratulated him on this important decision and posted on Twitter, “Congratulations Shri. G.K. Vasan for committing in your manifesto to hand over temples to Tamil people, among the most Devout Civilizations; we will restore Glory of this Temple State. Blessings.”

Sadhguru continues to insist that temples in Tamil Nadu should be freed from government control and handed over to devotees to protect them from decay and destruction. Sadhguru has been releasing startling facts about the condition of temples in the state every day on his Twitter handle as part of the #FreeTNTemples campaign.
