According to a news release from the school, the ceremony was held with a lot of fanfare. A. Afreen of Grade IX welcomed the gathering. The school Principal Ms. Priscilla Rani introduced the chief guest. Mr. Jatin Kishore formally invested V. Leela Venkatesh as School Marshal, and A. Afreen as School Vice-Marshal. He presented them with a badge, and sashes, and handed them their placards. He also instated and honoured the four house captains and vice-captains for the houses – Agni, Prithvi, Brahmos, and Trishul, the names being inspired by the missiles developed by India.
