For those chartered accountants playing the number game, making theme-based short films is bound to be a very unusual experience. The event was organised by Mumbai-based Vitae International Accounting Services Pvt. Ltd., as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

Speaking to Covai Post, S.M. Rajkumar, Human Resource Manager of Vitae International Accounting Services Pvt. Ltd., said that it was the fourth in the series that is being conducted to bring out their multiple skills. This time, three themes – India in the next 10 years, India’s potential to lead the world, and India’s contribution to the global community – were given to the participating staff of the company.

The short films should be of 10 to 15 minutes duration and no professionals were to be used in the making. Ten groups, of 10 to 30 members each, were formed. Among the participants, 30 percent were women.

The judges panel included V Jeevananathan, President of Coimbatore Chitrakala Academy; Bexci Britto, Assistant Professor, Bishop Appasamy College; and Charles, Head of the department of Visual Communication Department, Hindustan College of Arts and Science. After seeing the short films, Jeevananthan confessed that he was very impressed.

Rajkumar added that the winners will be announced on August 15.
