Coimbatore : AIADMK would not be able to save its government in Tamil Nadu, following the Supreme Court stay on the disqualification proceedings on three MLAs by Speaker, DMK president, M K Stalin said Monday.
The ruling party, in order to save the government, had sent letters to the Speaker to disqualify the three MLAs for supporting the splinter AMMK, Stalin said
However, DMK moved the Supreme Court, which Monday stayed the disqualification proceedings following petitions by two MLAs, dealing a big blow to AIADMK, which now will not be able
to save its government, Stain said while campaigning for party candidate Pongalur N Palanisamy contesting from the Sulur constituency.
Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was supporting the government, will not be of much help as, according to him, Congress President Rahul Gandhi will be installed as Prime Minister after the results.
Stalin further claimed that the DMK will form the government in the State after the results of the by-elections to 22 seats.
He assured fulfillment of his party’s promises made in the 2016 manifesto assembly elections.
Besides waiving of farmers and students loans, he party will fulfill all the promises made in the manifesto for the Lok Sabha and bypolls, Stalin said.
