Woman injured in elephant attack at Valparai

A 50-year-old woman was injured seriously today when a wild elephant took her in its trunk and hurled her down at Valparai in the district.
According to police, Azhagammal had come out of her house in Sholayar Estate in the morning when the elephant attacked her. She has been admitted to the Government Hospital in Pollachi. Forest officials have rushed to the area.
