Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Oncology and Research (SRIOR) here today introduced an 8GB Pink Silicon USB wrist band, which has complete information on everything about breast cancer.

The user-friendly USB has links to the breast cancer web page and the application is available for android and IOS users, SRIOR Director and Chief Medical Oncologist, Dr P Guhan, who devised the device, told reporters on the sidelines of the launch.

“Besides a video on breast cancer awareness, the pen drive has a short film – both in English and Tamil – on the importance of early detection of breast cancer, which is very easy to understand for the common man,” he said.

Stating that the wrist band will be given free of cost to various women organisations, ladies clubs, self help groups, women’s college and also to NSS adopted village groups, Guhan said that the NSS volunteers of Bharathiar University will help in distributing the wrist bands to various places in and around Coimbatore District.

Swathy Rohit, Chief Business Officer, SNR Sons Charitable Trust, who runs the institute, released the wrist band.
