Youth held for sexual assault on minor

Police arrested a youth on the charge of sexually assaulting a minor girl.
Ajith, 22, of Pothigai Nagar in Manojipatti near Thanjavur and the girl, a grade 12 student of a local school, residing in the same area were in love. A couple of days ago, Ajith took the girl to Vailankanni in Nagapattinam district where he reportedly assaulted her sexually, promising to marry her.
Based on her complaint at All Women Police Station (AWPS) in Thanjavur, police registered a case and arrested Ajith on the charges of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a minor girl.
