Indian Army Recruitment 2019: 189 technical posts in Short Service Commission, apply before February 21

The Indian Army has released a notification regarding the invitation of applications for the recruitment to 189 technical posts in Short Service Commission (SSC) Course on the official website- joinindianarmy.nic.in. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the recruitment drive before February 21, 2019. As per the information, the Indian Army SSC Course will commence from April 2019.

Gender-wise division of posts in Indian Army SSC:

SSC (Tech):

Men – 175 Posts
Women – 14 Posts
Widows of Defence Personnel:

SSCW (Non Tech) – 1 Post
SSCW (Tech) – 1 Post
Required educational qualification:
For SSC (Tech) – Men and Women-

Candidates must have passed an engineering degree or must be in the final year of an engineering degree course.

For widows of defence personnel-

SSCW (Non-Tech) – The candidate must hold graduation in any stream.

SSCW (Tech) – The candidate must possess a degree of BE/BTech in the engineering stream.

Age limit:

The candidates (including men and women) should fall under the age bracket of 20 to 27 years.

The age limit for the widows of defence personnel is 35 years.

Note: The candidates should keep in mind that the posts are only open for unmarried male and female engineering graduates and for widows of defence personnel.

Selection process:

The shortlisted candidates will be selected on the basis of an interview.

The candidates can apply through the official website of the Indian Army until February 21, 2019.

The beginning of online application: January 23, 2019

The last date of online application: February 21, 2019
