Akshay Ahuja’s company, RoboChamps, created history by organising the world’s largest classroom on robotics. Over 1200 students walked in to witness the history of making live robots together. All of them walked out holding a certificate from Guinness World Record Book for being part of world’s most prominent class ever!

THE WORLD’S LARGEST CLASSROOM ON ROBOTICS

The world’s largest classroom on robotics was held at Inderdhanush auditorium, Panchkula on 31st January 2017.

It was held by a company called RoboChamps, founded by Akshay Ahuja in 2013.

ROBOCHAMPS

RoboChamps creates robotics modules for students to help understand various scientific and technological concepts.

These modules are made keeping in mind the relevance they hold to the different scientific and mathematics concepts students learn in schools.

HOW ROBOCHAMPS CAME TO BE

An alumnus of Chitkara University, Akshay Ahuja had an entrepreneurial spirit right from the age of 19. In the 2nd year of college, he undertook 2 projects-teaching school students basic circuits and electronic-related concepts, and a six-week industrial training for BTech students. For this, he got a bunch of BTech students to train. The initiative was then started by Akshay in light of an interesting incident he shared with YourStory:

Amidst the Atmega8 IC technology training that he gave to kids at his summer camp, something extraordinary caught his eye: the speed at which kids were learning, in comparison to BTech students. This instigated him to try an experiment. He put one of the kids from workshop in the industrial programme along with the BTech students. To his surprise, the nine-year-old learnt the Atmega8 IC technology better than the BTech students! This removed all of Akshay’s doubts about the need for RoboChamps, and with no further reconsideration, he launched it in 2013 in Chandigarh.

Today, at the age of 23, Akshay has made us proud with his record-breaking achievements.
