Summer is here and with it the constant sweat and grime that collects on our faces and makes us look awful at all times. The season has a way of making us look tired, greasy, and well, frustrated. Our point is, our skin needs better care during summers and the only way to do that is to be mindful of what we eat, drink, and most importantly, what we put on our faces.

Of course we need to drink plenty of water and that helps us out in a lot of ways but that is not enough when it comes to skin treatment. And God knows we can’t head to the salon for a facial all that often. So how about some really cool DIY face packs that you can simply treat yourself to whenever, in the comfort of your home? Ingredients are easily available, and these don’t take all that time to whip up so why not?

Cucumber + Sugar

We all know that cucumber is one refreshing vegetable and it soothes the insides like anything. But some mashed cucumber mixed up with some sugar and chilled in the refrigerator will act as a face pack that will not only cool your face off but also hydrate it.

Tomato + Honey

Sunburns and tans are a part of summer right? And to fight that, this concoction comes to your rescue. The lycopene in the tomato helps fight sunburn. Pulped tomato, some honey for 15 minutes and you are sorted.

Egg + Honey

Oil that accumulates on the skin is quiet problematic in summers. Therefore to keep that problem tackled, egg and honey face pack works wonders. The skin tightens, pores close, and it is bye-bye to the oil accumulated after a rough day.

Mint + Turmeric

Another cooling concoction, this one. Make a paste of the mint leaves, add some turmeric powder and after keeping it on the face for 15-20 minutes, you are all cooled off and good to go.
