ou know those parties that many people decide to throw last minute, on a weekend? Have you ever wondered how they manage to pull it off? Getting the alcohol and ordering some pizzas is all very easy, but what about those people who decide to whip up some appetisers on their own? And what about the times when there are guests coming home on a very short notice and you have to come up with a three-course meal and you are stuck on deciding what to do for starters?
For all those times, here are some easy to make appetisers that anyone can whip up in no time and require no cooking.
Pita bread and Hummus
There are a variety of hummus dips available in the market these days. Gone are the times when you had to read the recipe off the internet and then whip one up. Just get one of the peri peri hummus or a classic hummus, some packets of fresh garlic or pita bread and you are sorted.
Nachos and salsa dip
This combination is yet another no-brainer appetiser – anyway people love some cheese grated nachos. So up the appetiser game by serving them some spicy nachos with a lot of salsa dip and you are done!
Pineapple and cheese
Although this requires a tiny amount of effort, it is one of those better appetisers that are not only good to taste but also good for any kind of party. Get a pack of cheese cubes, cut them into little squares, do the same with tinned pineapple slices (easily available), and then skewer one of each on a toothpick. Voila!
Cheese and crackers
A cheese platter is one that not everyone warms up to at a party – but serve them a good variety of cheese with some grapes, strawberries, and crackers and your job is done. Some parmesan, blue cheese, gouda, and mozzarella should do the job.
