Army engineering division contractors stage dharna

Contractors of the Army Engineering Division in Wellington here staged a dharna in front of the Engineering Division office demanding settlement of dues. The contractors alleged that they have not been paid their dues for the last six months. “The due is more than Rs. 5 crores. As a result we have not paid wages to the workers and settled bills to suppliers,” they said. The contractors took out a rally from the Army Barracks area and later staged a dharna in front of the engineering division office.
