A group of construction workers escaped unhurt when a sand-laden lorry lost control and fell on a house that they were renovating. According to sources, the driver of the lorry lost control over the vehicle due to a breach in the road. Suddenly the lorry tumbled and fell on a house, where workers were carrying out repair works. However, none of them were injured. “The roads have been in a very bad shape. We have submitted petition to the District Collector several times. But no action has been taken. The youth living here have been maintaining these mud roads. Officials should take immediate action before the rainy season. Otherwise the condition will turn worse,” villagers said.
