Electricity supply disconnected to a manufacturing unit polluting the environment in Ooty

In spite of warnings issued by the Tamilnadu Pollution Control Board , Sterling Biotech , a manufacturing unit producing edible and non edible gelatin, fertilizers and capsules failed to treat their waste. So ,an order was issued to disconnect the electricity supply to the unit. The locals who were affected by the pollution and had appealed earlier against the unit have welcomed this measure.
