Lone elephant destroys temple in Kurumbadi village

Residents of Kurumbadi village have urged the Forest officials to initiate steps to drive away a lone elephant that destroyed a temple on Friday morning.

According to the villagers, the elephant that entered the human habitat to consume the jack fruits. “The animal is refusing to leave the place. It went berserk this morning completely destroyed our temple,” a villager said.

Forest officials should take immediate action to control the pachyderm and drive it back to the forest, the villagers said in their appeal.
