Uzhavar Sandhai functions with just one shop in Kothagiri

The Uzhavar Sandhai (Farmers’ Market) opened by former chief minister M Karunanidhi at the bazaar in Kothagiri in Nilgiris district on June 8, 2009 is in a sorry state. The shandy, which used to be very busy, has only one shop functioning now. The public feel that it can be put back on track if all shops are reopened.
