To commemorate the Declaration of the Indian Independence, January 26 is celebrated as Republic Day every year. As we celebrate the occasion, Covai Post made an attempt to perceive the citizens’ expectations. We realised that they are in sync with the latest happenings around them. There is a restlessness among the youth about the political barriers across the country. A better way of approach pertaining to the development of the country, including the farmers’ issue, is expected by them. Social and financial security is the unanimous demand. Elders seem to be a content lot. The general consensus is that everyone yearns for a corruption-and-conflict-free nation, as India marches towards becoming a “Superpower”.
