Fire at the 680 acre dumpyard has become a routine affair. Besides failure of segregating waste at source, burning of waste also results in the fire spreading across the dumpyard. The air and ground water has turned toxic already. What’s happening to the funds allotted by the corporation to manage waste disposal, ask activists.
