Stray dog population may triple by 2019 if not sterilized

With the Animal Birth Control programme under suspension for the last one year, there is a fear of stray dog population going up three folds by 2019. Going by People for Animals, the NGO engaged in sterilisation of dogs, a whopping Rs 10,00,000 is required to sterilize the 10,000 mongrels currently on the streets of Covai.
