Overflowing drains, blocked ditches , wriggling worms and cows reared in an unhygenic space plague the residents of LG Thottam in Ukkadam, Coimbatore. The residents place the blame squarely on the sanitary workers who reportedly rear cows and fail to maintain them properly. The slushy surrounding is a perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes resulting in chikungunya, dengue and malaria. In spite of several complaints to the Corporation, the residents claim that no action has been taken till now.
