Indians have been innovating for some 5,000 years. But for some reason we have forgotten about that. Coimbatore really gives us an amazing opportunity to remind us as to what happens when we look to our indigenous ways of innovation. Now, for me as an inventor of email, what I want to share with you is that the invention by a 14-year old dark-skinned Indian immigrant boy in the United States also represents the rich history of Indian innovation. It is not money that drives innovation, but it is a sense of opportunity, a sense of resilience.
