Alagappa University, Karaikudi, is placed in the 271 – 280th Rank in QS Asia Ranking 2024, released by the QS Intelligence Unit. Totally 857 Asian Universities participated across the Globe, Alagappa University secured 271-280th Rank in QS Asia level and 59th rank in QS Southern Asia level.
Among the 148 ranked Indian institutions, Alagappa University is placed in the 32nd position. It is noteworthy that Alagappa University is attained Fourth position among the Higher Educational Institutions from Tamil Nadu.

Under this QS Asia ranking, the performance of the participating institutions under specific areas, viz. Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, the number of staff holding a Ph.D, and the percentage of international students have been assessed and analyzed.
Prof. J. Jeyakanthan, Director, Alagappa University Ranking Cell, has collected, analyzed and submitted data to participate in QS Asia level ranking pertaining to the year 2023.

It is to mention that Alagappa University has achieved several milestones by attaining A+ status (CGPA:3.64) in 3rd cycle of NAAC assessment, secured 30th position in NIRF 2023 Ranking and 43rd rank in Research Institutions, secured 401-500 ranking bandwidth in THE World University Ranking 2023, 101-150th position in THE – Young University Rank, 111nd position in THE – Asia University Rank. This QS Asia Ranking is an additional feather to the crown of Alagappa University.
