Kamal Haasan takes offense being dubbed ‘B’ Team of the BJP

Covai Post Network

Chennai : Actor turned politician Kamal Haasan said his party was growing in stature in Tamil Nadu just at the right time, on the eve of the general elections, so to speak.

The proof of this is evident from the targeting of his party by the other mainstream parties, Kamal Haasan said adding that his party was not the B Team of the BJP as was being spread by some activists of other political parties.

Addressing a rally in Tirunelveli last night, said that his party was being targeted and dubbed as the B Team of the BJP which was far from the truth. In fact, my team is Tamil Nadu’ A team he said to his fans and supporters congregating in Tirunelveli.

A few days ago, DMK mouth piece, Murasoli said that by attacking the mahagathbandhan of the opposition camp, he only was weakening it. Kamal Haasan had alleged that post elections, the mahagathbandhan will see parties jumping ship to the other side, if the opposite camp (BJP) won.

Only Makkal Neethi Maiyam will stand upright without indulging in horse trading, the actor asserted.

My party voice will be heard in such a situation. But he was as yet unable to predict as to which way the wind would be blowing in the general elections.

Redeeming the lost political dignity and ethos of the Tamil people, upholding secularism, poverty alleviation and ensuring education of international standards are among the party ideals, he said.
