Chennai : “Congress has admitted that it has done injustice for the past 60 years,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said taking a swipe at Congress manifesto promise of Nyay scheme while addressing an election rally at Teni.

The best fried of Congress is dishonesty, the Prime Minister said adding “sometimes by mistake they end up speaking the truth. Now they are saying Nyay (justice) will happen. Even if they did not intend to, they have admitted that they had done injustice over the past60 years.”

He then tore into the Congress and its misdeeds and question as to who will give justice to the victims of 1984 Sikh riots; to all the victims of anti-dalit riots; to the government of AIADMK Founder M.G.Ramachandran (MGR) dismissed by Congress because one family didn’t like him; to the victims of Bhopal gas tragedy one of worst environment tragedy in India, that happened under the Congress rule.

Congress and its corrupt friends like the DMK can never do development of the country, he said asking the people to judge for themselves as to who questioned the surgical strikes by the armed forces.

“How do you deal with those who wish to weaken armed forces and how to deal with those who talks with the sponsors of terrorists,” Modi questioned.

“When it comes to national security, there can be no compromise. We leave no stone unturned in protecting India and destroying forces of terror. When brave Indian pilot was captured in record time, he was back in record time. The Congress party politicised the issue,” Modi said. The DMK and Congress role must end if Tamil Nadu is to prosper, the Prime Minister said.

“As a chowkidar for the nation, I work for the benefit of the people. Your struggle for railway connectivity is known and our government has begun the gauge conversion between Madurai and Bodi,” Modi said. An All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and the Integrated Textile Park being set up in Madurai will benefit the people of Theni district also, he said.

Modi alleged that the son of former finance minister was looting the country when his father was the union finance minister. And now, Madhya Pradesh has become a den of corruption, the PM said.
