Rahul Gandhi says TN must not be remote controlled from Nagpur

Chennai : AICC President Rahul Gandhi took a jibe at the BJP RSS combine when he said Tamil Nadu should not be ruled from Nagpur.

Nagpur is the headquarters of the RSS.

Addressing an election rally at Krishnagiri on Friday, the Congress leader said TN should be ruled by the people of Tamil Nadu

DMK supremo MK Stalin will become the chief minister of the state, he declared amidst thunderous claps from the audience.

His entire speech was peppered by enthusiastic response from the audience.

“Tamil Nadu to be ruled from Tamil Nadu. Stalin will be the Chief Minister,” Rahul Gandhi said.

The BJP is remote controlling the TN government is the strong perception on the ground. Rahul Gandhi smartly played on this sentiment to hit out against the BJP and its alliance with AIADMK. .

“We will not let the people of Tamil Nadu to be led by Nagpur,” Gandhi said.

When the Congress comes to power at the centre, farmers will not be jailed for non-repayment of bank loans.

“It is not fair that rich businessmen are not jailed for non-repayment of bank loans while poor farmers go to jail for defaulting bank loans,” Gandhi said.

“After 2019, no farmer will be put in jail for non-repayment of loan,” Gandhi promised.

He said the Congress government will tell the farmers in advance the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and other things so that they can plan accordingly.

He promised the poor that Rs.72,000 per year will be paid into the bank account of women head of the poor family in the country once Congress comes to power under the Nyay scheme.
