DMK president MK Stalin, riding high on popularity as also on pre-poll survey predictions, on Tuesday predicted that there will be a change in government in Tamil Nadu once there is a new government in New Delhi.

The Leader of the Opposition in Tamil Nadu Assembly Stalin said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is lending his support to the AIADMK led state government.

According to Stalin, the moment Modi goes home defeated, the state government led by Chief Minister K.Palaniswami would also go home.

Addressing an election rally in Tirunelveli, Stalin charged the BJP with spreading a false impression that the DMK was anti-Hindu.

“If the party is anti-Hindu than who are there in DMK? Can they answer?” he questioned and said the BJP was acting as if it was the sole custodian of Hinduism. The DMK was not against any religion or caste, the DMK leader said.

Recently K. Veeramani, the leader of Dravidian social movement DK, which is supporting the DMK-led alliance, said at a meeting said if there were mobile phones during the era of Lord Krishna, then the deity would have taken videos like that of the alleged perpetrators of the Pollachi sexual abuse-cum-blackmail issue.

His linking of Lord Krishna with Pollachi sex scandal accused angered the BJP and other Hindu outfits. The police has registered a complaint against Veeramani.

There have been social media messages recalling Stalin’s derisive remarks about Hindu marriage customs while attending a Muslim’s wedding.
