Conspiracy to smuggle Palani idol abroad unearthed

The idol wing of the police department that is investigating the Palani idol issue have unearthed a major conspiracy to smuggle the main deity abroad. The sculptor of the new idol and the then joint commissioner of the temple have been arrested on this regard.
