It is a tiger reserve located at the junction of three states, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. It is nearest from the hill station of Ooty at 68 kilometres and about 240 kilometres from Bangalore. The amazing flora and fauna found here make it quite special. For example, the tall Elephant grass, teak, rosewood trees and giant bamboo. With 260 species of birds and animals like tiger, elephant, panther, deer and hyena, Mudumalai is indeed a traveller’s delight.

Satyamangalam Wildlife Sanctuary: Located along the western ghats in Tamil Nadu, this ecological wonder is an oft-visited place by tourists from across India and all over the world. It covers a whopping 1412 sq. km. making it the largest wildlife sanctuary in the state. You have a great chance of spotting the regal tiger here since there are no less than 28 tigers in this area along with the rare four-horned antelope, blackbucks, sambhar, spotted deer, gaurs and more than 850 elephants. It is also home to four rare species of vultures and indigenous crocodile, thus making it a must-visit place during the jungle trail.

Annamalai National Park: Known as one of the most picturesque wildlife reserves of the South, Annamalai National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary makes for a thrilling drive into the wild. It is merely 112 kilometres from Coimbatore and is a beautiful drive while on vacation with friends and family. You can hire a taxi in Coimbatore and explore the sanctuary at leisure. It is a veritable paradise for animal and bird lovers. You will spot Tigers, elephants, leopards, sloth bears, flying squirrels, wild boars and many species of primates here.
